Terms of Service

Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may sign up with email or with Google or Facebook. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

Books and members

The owner of a book controls who can access it and with which role. Owners are responsible for the people they invite and for removing access that is no longer needed. Members may leave a book at any time.

Plans and billing

• Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• Paid plans are prepaid for a monthly or yearly period and do not renew automatically. We send a reminder before the period ends.
• You can upgrade at any time; the unused value of your current plan is converted into additional days on the new plan.
• Downgrades are not available during an active period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• We may change prices for future periods with reasonable notice; changes never affect a period you have already paid for.

Expiry and limits

When a paid plan ends, your account returns to the Free plan. Your data is kept: books beyond the Free plan’s limits become read-only until you renew or upgrade. Usage quotas (books, members per book, AI requests and storage) apply as described on the pricing page.

AI features

AI bookkeeping produces draft entries and suggestions that may be inaccurate. Drafts are never posted automatically; you are responsible for reviewing and accepting them. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.

Not professional advice

The Service is a bookkeeping tool. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and it does not file tax returns or run payroll. You remain responsible for your books, filings and compliance; consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

Third-party services

Connections to Mercury, Airwallex, broker accounts, QuickBooks Online, Google, Facebook and Stripe are subject to those providers’ own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or for data they provide. Bank and broker connections are read-only; the Service never initiates payments or transfers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by breaking the law, recording fraudulent transactions, attempting to access others’ data, interfering with the Service, reverse engineering it, or reselling it without our permission.

Your data

You own the data you put into the Service. You give us permission to host, process and display it only as needed to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export reports and request deletion at any time.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may add, change or remove features; if we remove a material feature from a paid plan, we will let you know in advance.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the Service or other users at risk, with notice where reasonable.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and notify you of material changes. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
